Each of the whiskies bearing the title’distiller’s edition’ have undergone a second round of maturation, in casks that once were used to mature fortified wine. This allows the maturing whisky to absorb a whole gamut of new and interesting flavours.
If you’re a fan of Dalwhinnie, you’re almost certain to love the way that those Oloroso sherry flavours help to emphasise the classic notes of honeyed heather. The balance between the two has been carefully judged, making this a whisky that’s worth savouring.
Your bottle, too, will be worth savouring, particularly once you’ve gotten it engraved with a custom message. You need only decide what that message should be, and we’ll get to work carving it into the glass. That way, you’ll have a keepsake that’ll be treasured for years!
Tasting Notes
This whisky is packed with honey, heather, salt and vanilla. The help of those Oloroso casks helps to bring a sweet and spicy sprinkling of berries to the dram.
