This is a drink that is said to have been around since the Renaissance, when a student of Da Vinci chose a local innkeeper as the subject of a fresco. In exchange, the innkeeper presented him with a bottle of amber liqueur and that is how Disaronno first found fame.
Over the following few centuries, the recipe for the drink would remain a closely-guarded secret of the Reina family, passed from generation to generation. That is, until the early portion of the 20th century, when Domenica Reina began to produce and sell the drink from her shop in Milan. A bottle of Disaronno remains among the most recognisable in any liquor cabinet and with the help of our custom laser engraving service, you will be able to ensure that yours is uniquely suited to the person you are buying for.
