This liqueur came to be in 1880, when Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle blended a series of fine cognacs with the essence of orange fruits. After ageing the resulting mixture carefully in a series of French oak casks, it was given a roundness and subtlety that sets the drink apart from other cognac-based liqueurs. Its quality is such that the cordon rouge variety is still widely-enjoyed, more than a century later!

Tasting Notes
You will find a soft nose, with orange and sweet chocolate giving a hint of what is to come in the palate. The finish is long, sweet and refreshing.
