Jameson’s original blend brings together pot-still and fine-grain whiskeys, and is known for its smoothness and versatility.
It’s triple-distilled and aged for a minimum of four years in seasoned oak barrels, according to a method established by John Jameson in 1780. The Dungourney River flows right through the centre of the Jameson distillery in County Cork, Ireland, and the barley used to make Jameson is grown within just a hundred miles. This provides the whiskey with a local diet – which isn’t just good for the environment; it ensures a fantastic flavour, too!
Tasting Notes
Jameson provides a light and floral fragrance on the nose, and a body that’s packed with nutty, vanilla and spicy flavours. It’s a smooth whiskey that offers a hint of sweet sherry.
