The Lagavulin brand only recently celebrated its 200th birthday, with its distinctly smoky, dry flavour having been enjoyed since 1816. In this, the'distiller's edition', the formula is made even more tantalising.
This whisky has been double-matured in a Pedro Ximenez cask, helping to bring a raft of extra subtle flavours into the body. Like the standard version of Lagavulin, it's rich in peat, but it's also sweet. It's sure to leave you wanting more. Pair it with blue cheese or oysters, and you're onto a winner.

Tasting Notes
You'll get a wash of roasted barley and iodine in the nose, along with the creaminess of vanilla, yogurt and raisins. The body carries a raft of complex fruit flavour, while the finish is smoky and long.
