A fire in 1932 destroyed much of the countries rum reserves. The master blender of Fernandes Distillers, J.B. Fernandes, bought the casks and discovered that their contents were intact and that they had been filled in the year 1919. This rum was carefully combined with others to produce the 1919 gold blend.
If you’d like to enjoy a slice of rum history, then a bottle of 1919 is sure to provide it. And you will be able to make yours even more special with the help of our special engraving service. We will engrave whatever message you’d like into the glass using our laser engraving!
Tasting Notes
you will get rich, spicy notes of oak, caramel, ginger and Coca Cola in the nose, and these flavours only get deeper as you take a sip. The finish is creamy and well rounded.
