This drink first came to be in 1999, when the chairman of the St. Lucia distillery, Laurie Barnard, conceived of a blend of continuous and pot-still rums, matured for a further six-months in ex-bourbon oak casks from the United States.
This rum has since proven spectacularly popular with the locals, and has scooped a plethora of awards, including a gold medal at the world spirits awards, and two at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Tasting Notes
you will find honeyed fruits and oaky vanilla in the nose, while the palate is balanced and boasts an excellent mellow mix of ripe raisin, tobacco and spices. The finish is long and satisfying.
