This whisky is special in that it’s been transferred to port-wine casks for the last stages of maturation. This helps to impart a delicious complexity into the drink, setting it apart from other whiskies produced in this part of the world. Tasting Notes
This scotch comes with a sweet and fruity nose, with jelly-babies and a hint of smoke colliding. The body is light, but firm, with a smokiness and a layered mixture of malt and oak. The finish is long and dry, with bananas, oak and coca subtly mixing.
