For those with a penchant for whiskey-based liqueurs, there can be few more suitable gifts than a bottle of personalised Drambuie. Using our laser-engraving facilities, we are able to etch your bottle with a message of your choosing: all you need do is think of one and let us know.
Drambuie is created by infusing a blend of fine scotch whiskey with a closely-guarded cocktail of botanicals. The recipe is based on one used by Bonnie Prince Charlie during the 18th century, when the spices were introduced for medicinal purposes. The name of the drink comes from the Gaelic phrase An Dram Buidheach, which means the drink that satisfies. Few names could be more apt.
Today, Drambuie is created using much the same recipe as when it was first created. The ingredients are measured and blended by hand, before being blended with a range of malts (some of which are up to fifteen years old).
Tasting Notes
The nose is intriguing and distinctly medicinal, with pepper, grass and liquorice all evident. The orange is lively on the palate, while the finish is long and sweet.
