This gin started, as you might imagine, at No. 171 Portobello road in London. There, nestled just above a 19th century public house, you will find a gin museum called the Ginstitute. The museums founders, Ged, Jake and Paul, decided that the experience required a gin that could call the museum home. So began nine months of experimentation, with different botanicals being used to slowly tweak a formula until it was just right.
The nose is packed with hot pepper and juniper, while nicely balanced spices and lemongrass creep into the palate. The finish is long and refreshingly citrussy.
